Adult Animated Comedy Web Series Episode Review: Camp Camp - Camp Cool Kidz

ICamp Cool Kidz, the fourth episode of the first season of Camp Camp, Max trades his plans to escape with a plan inspired by Neil. Max convinces the kids to take over the camp. But things don't go as he had planned.

The kids tie David and Gwen to a pole and incapacitate the Quartermaster. When they vote on who will be in charge of the camp, Max expects to be chosen since he was the one who organized the takeover. When they instead pick the camp's "cool" girl, Erid, Max forms a three-person rebel group.

Erid, short for Meridith, renames the camp "Camp Cool Kidz". Once the magic kids are allowed inside to the mess hall, Erid starts a party. Max comes up with a plan to take back the camp, but, of course, things don't go to plan.

This episode was fun as it played around with both camp story cliches as well as the trope of the cool girl. It was also nice to see Nikki show her insecure side as she's been depicted as having a "devil may care" attitude up to this point.

This episode also marks the return of Cameron Campbell, who is always fun, in a stupid rich white millionaire kind of way. It's much more fun to see that kind of character on the screen instead of dealing with the many real-life people that fit that description. Cameron Campbell has a fun backstory going on behind the scenes, and he sets up his next destination here. Camp Cool Kids doesn't quite reach the highs of episode 3, but it was still really entertaining.

Final Verdict:
4 out of 5
