Telltale Announces Disc Versions of their Games

Telltale has announced disc versions of their most recent games.  The Walking Dead: Season One will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as was widely reported earlier when GameStop began taking pre-orders.  The Walking Dead: Season Two will be joining it on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it will also be receiving disc versions for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 once the season is completed.

The Walking Dead isn't the only series that will be coming to the current generation consoles, as The Wolf Among Us will also be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as for disc on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 once that season concludes.  No release date has yet been set for any of these releases, but I'll keep you updated once the dates are announced.

My New Game: Doug's Moai Adventure

I'm going to be part of a project that is going to use the Moai engine, so I decided to get myself accustomed to the engine by create an adventure game with it, using Sandy Maguire's adventure engine as a base. So, for the past few months, I've been learning the ins and outs of Moai, and Doug's Moai Adventure is the result. It stars Doug the Ogre from the Jenni webcomic and the Doug the Ogre Collaborative Comic (which is completely open for anyone to participate in, as it's licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 4.0 license). This is the first adventure game I've created since 1997, so even though it's short (as was the aforementioned game), I'm proud to be able to release it into the wild.  Enjoy!

Trilobyte Tries Crowdfunding The 7th Guest 3 Again

After failing on Kickstarter, Trilobyte has regrouped and started up a new crowdfunding campaign for The 7th Guest 3: The Collector, through Crowdtilt. They started the Crowdtilt campaign in December, shortly after the end of the Kickstarter, but did not go public with it until now. This time they are only seeking $65,000. This will fund The 7th Guest 3: The 1st Story, which will be the entire first floor of the mansion.

From there, the campaign will remain open, and there will be stretch goals. The first stretch goal will be for development of the second story, and the second stretch goal will be the funding required to fund the full game. So, if you're interested in getting a new chapter of the full motion video horror adventure series, head to the crowdfunding page for The 7th Guest 3: The Collector and pick a pledge tier.

Double Fine Will Publish The Adventure Last Life

Double Fine has announced that they will now be publishing titles developed by other independent game developers. One such title is Last Life, a three part episodic adventure game based on modern adventure games such as Kentucky Route Zero and Telltale's The Walking Dead series, where a detective must investigate his own murder. The first episode will be funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign. If you missed the Kickstarter, you can still back the game through Paypal.

The other game that Double Fine announced they are publishing is the puzzle platform game Escape Goat 2, which is available to purchase now.

And, while we're on the subject of Double Fine, Brandon Dillon's amnesia fortnight prototype joins turned full release, Hack 'n' Slash, joins Spacebase DF-9 as a full release in the making on Steam Early Access, and is available from the Steam store for $20 USD, or $25 USD including the soundtrack.
