Metal Gear Solid is an action-adventure stealth video game released in 1998. It was the first game in the Metal Gear Solid subseries of the Metal Gear series.
Silicon Knights developed, with supervision by Konami Computer Entertainment, a sequel titled Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes in 2004.
