Sega Software R&D Department #2 was a development division of Sega that was formed on May 1, 1999 after the amusement and consumer divisions of Sega were merged. It was a continuation of Sega AM2.

It was spun out as a division of CRI as AM2 of CRI on February 1, 2000.
