Syberia III is the third chapter of Kate Walker's journey through the remote land of Syberia. The game originally had a release date of June 2010, but it was pushed back indefinitely as Microids was in negotiations to have the original Syberia creator, Benoît Sokal, work on the game. Benoît Sokal did in fact agree to work on the game, but he said he has no plans to use the Syberia I and II engine because he feels the game would be a commercial failure if he did. He instead used real-time 3D graphics for this installment. The game was released on April 21, 2017 for Windows, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
