Hero-U Heads To Kickstarter Again For Additional Funding

Hero-U, the adventure RPG hybrid by the Quest for Glory creators, is nearing completion, but it still needs some funding in order to cross the finish line. Corey and Lori Ann Cole have begun a second kickstarter for the game.  The reason why they are going to Kickstarter a second time is because the game has become larger than they originally planned, and after putting as much of their own money as they possibly can into the project on top of the Kickstarter money, they are seeking funding for the final year of development for the game.

They are currently just under half way to their goal with a month left in the campaign.  They have several new tiers in this new campaign, as well as some familiar ones as well.  If you backed the previous Kickstarter but want to back this one as well, they have also posted an update that explains how to up your pledge from their last campaign in case you wish to upgrade to a higher tier this time.

Hero-U Will Be Released On October 15, 2015

The Coles have posted a release date for Hero-U, the adventure-RPG hybrid set in the land of the Quest for Glory series, which focuses on a rogue who has to choose whether to continue his path to become a thief or whether to become a hero.

Music for the game is now estimated to be 90% completed, and Lori Ann Cole is making good progress on the writing for the game.  Because Lori Ann and Corey Cole now feel confident in the game's progress to set a release date, they have scheduled Hero-U's release for October 15, 2015.

Hero-U By Quest for Glory Creators Is On Kickstarter

The Hero-U Road to Redemption Kickstarter is the lastest crowd funding effort by a popular former adventure game designer. This time it's a project by Lori and Corey Cole, the creators of Sierra's Quest for Glory series. The new project is a 2D RPG adventure hybrid, which is more the style of RPG games than the adventure style of the original four Quest for Glory games. It's to be co-developed by Brawsome, the creator of the adventure game Jolly Rover and the RPG/puzzle hybrid MacGuffin's Curese.

Like the other adventure kickstarters, there are different tiers to choose from with different rewards including a collector's box version at the $150 USD tier. The kickstarter ends in 11 days, and they're currently at just over half of their $400,000 USD goal.
