The Secret of Monkey Island

The Secret of Monkey Island was the first game in the Monkey Island series. It has four major versions. The VGA CD-ROM version follows the CGA/EGA and VGA floppy disk versions. It was released in 1992.

It was further updated in The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition in 2009.

The CD-ROM versions of The Secret of Monkey Island are now supported by ScummVM, a program designed to let 2D adventure games run on multiple platforms. With ScummVM, they run on modern versions of windows, as well as Linux, Mac OS X, and many consoles such as Dreamcast, Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable.
