Myst


Myst is a third person adventure game released in 2006. It is a handheld remake of the original Myst from 1993 and Myst: Masterpiece Edition from 1999 with the fifth age and ending from Real Myst from 2000.

Story

A Stranger becomes stranded on a deserted island after touching an image of the island in a book. 

Now the stranger must travel around the island to find out what happened to the inhabitants.

The stranger ultimately wants to find a way off the island and find way back home.

Releases

Myst was developed by Cyan Worlds, ported by Hoplite Research, and published by Sega on PSP in Japan on June 15, 2006. The PSP port was published by Midway Home Entertainment and published by Midway Games in France on October 20, 2006.

Nintendo DS version was developed by Cyan Worlds, ported by Hoplite Research, published by Midway Home Entertainment and published by Midway Games in France and Germany on November 30, 2007 and in the United Kingdom on December 7, 2007. Centric Multimedia distributed the Nintendo 3DS version in Greece on December 7, 2007.

Myst was developed by Cyan Worlds and published by Funbox Media on Nintendo 3DS in the United Kingdom on Oct 5, 2012. It was published by Maximum Games in the United States on October 26, 2012.

Remakes

A full-3D remake titled realMyst: Masterpiece Edition was released in 2014. A high-definition full-3D remake, simply titled Myst, was released in 2020.
