1Up has updated their Monkey Island: Special Edition page with a release date of July 15th, which is unofficial for now until LucasArts confirms it.

Muzzled Out Now, Sam & Max Save the World on Xbox Live Arcade tommorrow

The third episode of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures was released for the PC yesterday. It will be released for the Xbox Live Arcade in the upcoming months. Sam & Max Save the World (formerly known as Sam & Max Season One) will be out on the Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow, June 17th.

Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis is out on Wii

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, LucasArts' classic adventure game from 1991, is now available on the Wii as an unlockable in the new installment in LucasArts' Tomb Raider inspired Indiana Jones action-adventure series, Staff of Kings.

This is LucasArts' first re-release of their adventure games in the United States in well over five years, and the first re-release to appear on a video game console (games released during the original timeframe non-withstanding). Thankfully, it's not the last, as The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition will be coming out for Xbox Live Arcade on the Xbox 360, and for direct download for PC. I can't wait for that one. :)

Telltale to make Tales of Monkey Island

Tales of Monkey Island is the new episodic series from Telltale Games! Also, The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition rumor is true! LucasArts will indeed be rereleasing the classic original in the series on both the Xbox Live Arcade and the PC via digital download!

This is great news, and way more than I ever expected from LucasArts when I created this blog! :)
