Personal Nightmare

Personal Nightmare was Adventure Soft's (under their imprint Horror Soft) first horror RPG with adventure elements that was released in 1989.  They would later continue this formula with Elvira, Elvira 2, and Waxworks. The son of a pastor has to find out who is behind the disappearance of his father and the possession of the townsfolk by demons.

Personal Nightmare is now supported by ScummVM, a program designed to let 2D adventure games run on multiple platforms. With ScummVM, Personal Nightmare now runs on modern versions of windows, as well as Linux, Mac OS X, and many consoles such as Dreamcast, Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable.
