"Ah yes... I remember that case. Particularly Gruesome"
The box on the file cabinet in Sam & Max's office has the date 03-03-04 on the front, and Sam remarks that that case was "particularly gruesome". March 3, 2004 was the date that LucasArts canceled Sam & Max: Freelance Police.
