Hoyle Official Book of Games Volume I

Hoyle Official Book of Games Volume I was the first of Sierra's Hoyle casual game series.  This game had six card games (Crazy Eights, Old Maid, Hearts, Gin Rummy, Cribbage and Klondike), with selectable computer controlled opponents of varying difficulty levels. The opponents included the adventure game characters Larry Laffer, King Graham, Sonny Bonds, Roger Wilco, as well as Sierra staff and family members.  It was released in 1989.

Hoyle Official Book of Games Volume I is now supported by ScummVM, a program designed to let 2D adventure games run on multiple platforms. With ScummVM, Hoyle Official Book of Games Volume I now runs on modern versions of windows, as well as Linux, Mac OS X, and many consoles such as Dreamcast, Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable.
