Indiana Jones Adventure World Injokes

"Kind of expected a gigantic boulder or something"

When you exchange an equally weighted sandbag for an artifact, Emily will say "That wasn't so bad. Kind of expected a giant boulder or something." In Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones exchanges a sandbag for an idol on a pedestal and sets off a trap that sends a giant boulder rolling after him.

The Secret of Monkey Island Injokes

A third shadow is nigh.

In the demo, when you ask Otis, the prisoner, for the magic phrase, he says "Tim once told me that Dave said that Ron wanted to know why a third shadow is nigh.", Tim, Dave, and Ron are Tim Schafer, Dave Grossman, and Ron Gilbert, the trio who created The Secret of Monkey Island. "A third shadow is nigh" is a quote from Loom.

In Loving Memory of Nelly Mae Eva Rogers Jackson

My grandmother has passed away today.  She was a sweet and loving woman, and she'll be truly missed.  She loved my grandfather so much, and was so lost after he passed away.  There's comfort in the thought that she'll be able to be with her husband again.

I Am Now Helping With The ScummVM Wiki

The ScummVM Wiki is a great source of information for the adventure game suite, ScummVM, and the games that are supported by it.  The ScummVM team has graciously accepted my offer to help keep that wiki up to date.

I have been a big fan of ScummVM since it started back in 2002, and I've always wanted to help out. I have submitted a couple of patches, but I'm not skilled enough in programming to help out in any big way.  I really love to research and write though, so this is right up my alley.

Thanks for doing what you do, ScummVM Team, and I hope that I can help alleviate some of the work on the documentation front so that you can keep doing what you do best. :)

In Loving Memory of Richard Allen Jackson

My grandfather passed away today.  He was suffering from Alzheimer's for several years, which is a terrible disease.  At least now he'll finally find the peace the disease has taken from him for almost a decade.  He was a kind man and will be deeply missed.
