Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was the second game in the Indiana Jones series that was created by LucasArts, and the first created by LucasArts that had an original storyline. The game, released in 1992, saw Indy searching for the lost city of Atlantis, which was said to house an incredible energy source that the Nazis were trying to discover for themselves.

There was also an action game titled Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis: The Action Game, developed by Attention to Detail in 1991. It loosely adapted the storyline of the adventure game, but otherwise had nothing to do with it.  Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was also adapted into a comic series of the same name, created by Dark Horse Comics.

The adventure version of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is now supported by ScummVM, a program designed to let 2D adventure games run on multiple platforms. With ScummVM, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis now runs on modern versions of windows, as well as Linux, Mac OS X, and many consoles such as Dreamcast, Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. For a complete list of platforms supported by ScummVM, see here.

The retail versions of the adventure game are now out of print, however, it can be purchased digitally through Steam and GOG.com.
