Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb

Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb was the second game in the Indiana Jones series that was presented as a 3D third person perspective action-adventure game.  It is more action oriented than Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, as the developers at The Collective wanted something that was more fast paced than the previous LucasArts developed Indiana Jones games.  It still retains some aspects of the adventure genre, as there are still puzzles to solve.

It is a prequel to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and takes place before Raiders of the Lost Ark.  There are many references to Temple of Doom, and one of the characters from that film accompanies Indiana Jones through his adventures in The Emperor's Tomb for a while.  The game follows Indiana Jones as he travels through China to find an artifact known as the heart of the Emporer, which was said to have been burired in the tomb of China's first emporer and is said to grant magical powers to those who possess it.  Indiana Jones has to outwit both the Nazis and the Triad, who are after the heart as well.

It was released for Xbox on February 24, 2003, for Windows on March 25, 2003, for PlayStation 2 on June 26, 2003, and for Mac OS X on December 3, 2003.
